Tact-Tiles Shipping Update
Lately we have been getting flooded with "did my tiles ship yet" emails. I know everyone is looking forward to getting their tiles, but we ask for your patience. I want to assure you that we are shipping tiles out as quickly as possible, and will try to make sure we post updates on which tiers we've gotten out in the comments section.
We're using Stamps.com for fulfillment. And as we fill orders, we always check the "send notification" and "include tracking" boxes. However, due to the use of a 3rd party solution, different methods of shipping, spam filters, and whatever other unknown factors might be in play, we can't promise that you'll actually get the notification(s). I know some are, but there seems to have been at least a few cases where the recipient never got the notice.
If you are wondering if your tiles have shipped, first, check the comments section to see if we've announced that your tier has shipped. If we have said that we shipped the tier you backed, and you don't see the notification, first check to make sure you are checking the email address associated with your Kickstarter account. Then check your spam folder.
If you still don't see it, send your inquiry to info@voidstarstudios.com
Premium Case Update
First of all, if you want a Premium Tact-Tiles case, you can place your pre-order here. Unfortunately, we've ran into yet another issue with a supplier (surprised?), so we're looking at a delay of another few weeks before we can get them in to start shipping.
Apparently the samples we ordered had their foam cut with a water jet. We approved those and ordered the production run. We were then contacted and told that die cutting would be used for the production run, and that our design couldn't be die cut. So yeah.... We're exploring other options; but it looks like we'll have to water cut the entire run. And that's going to take longer than we'd initially estimated.
Caution: Marker Usage
Your Tact-Tiles should arrive with a short note regarding their use. The important bit, that is worth repeating here, is that you should not use Expo BOLD Color dry erase markers on your tiles. It is normal for the grid lines to become slightly darkened after they are marked over, but in testing, we found that some of the Bold colors didn't want to fully erase from the non-gridded areas.
We highly recommend you use Expo Low Odor and Quartet Dry Erase markers. Also, if you have a really old Expo dry erase marker, we suggest testing in a small area first. In testing, we found that very old (3+ years old) Expo Low Odor markers tend to sometimes leave marks as well.
If you can, just to avoid any potential issues, we recommend getting a new set of Low Odor Expos or Quartets. We haven't seen any issues with any wet erase markers.
Other brands of markers should be used with caution. We highly recommend making a small mark somewhere, waiting a few hours, and wiping it off before committing to a set of markers.
Like any dry erase surface, markers left on for a long time may still leave some very faint ghosting. As such, it is recommended that you erase your tiles between sessions. In our tests, most markers wiped away perfectly clean after sitting for over a week, but we still recommend caution, especially when using red and green markers.
In short, while we don't expect you will have any problems, we still want to suggest just a little bit of caution. If you do end up with some persistent marks, try using some Expo dry erase cleaner. Failing that, try marking over the faded lines with a new marker and erasing.
Thanks!

Has the Expedited Deluxe Set level shipped out yet? Pledged that level, haven't seen anything yet.

@David: I think the Expedited Deluxe sets are being worked on now, or will be very soon.
